Fine Dining In Bratislava, Slovakia

If you are ever in Bratislava, you must eat at the UFO Restaurant where you will experience fine dining on a completely different level. It’s in the tower in the picture above and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The restaurant doesn’t revolve but it’s  okay as the view from anywhere you sit in the restaurant is phenomenal. I didn’t edit any of these photos because I wanted you to see exactly what I saw. It was an overcast day but I don’t think that mattered, the view was still magnificent.

That’s the Bratislava Castle and the Danube River.

Isn’t that a lovely view?

That’s a tea pot. It’s short and stout. Hee hee.

Of course I had to have a drink (or two). What better way to plan what to do with the rest of my days in Bratislava than to have a drink while looking at this view!

They even had a special stool for our purses. Is that great service or what? That’s my Tom Bihn purse, I’ll be blogging about that soon because it’s such a fabulous bag for traveling.

Check out the white gloves! The service in this restaurant was perfect. Are you wondering what he is doing? He is giving us a warm towel to wipe our hands with. That’s hot water he’s pouring over what will become a small towel.

We got the four course menu, check out how cheap that is for all of that food plus excellent service and a view to die for. Eastern Europe is fast becoming one of my favorite regions.

This was the first of four courses. You know I was in heaven with a four course meal!

Second course. Soup. Delish. As you may have noticed I used my DK Eyewitness Travel Guide to navigate Bratislava. I really love those books, they always give me the information I need and allows me to make great choices while I’m traveling.

Third course. Duck. Simply amazing.

Fourth course. Dessert.

The next three pictures are of the restaurant. What do you think?

The next few pics are the view from the top. You can visit the tower and not eat at the restaurant but then you have to pay to go to the top but if you dine there you don’t get charged to go to the top. I absolutely adore a sunset.

That’s me and my mom. I’m so grateful I have a mom like her. She is really funny and we laugh all the time which makes traveling with her so easy!

This is what you’ll see if you go to the restroom. I’m not sure if you can make out the writing but it says, “Enjoying The View?” You would see that writing if you were sitting on the toilet.

What an incredible experience! This is definitely worth checking out, if only for the astounding view but stay for the dinner, you couldn’t possibly be disappointed!

    1. It was! When the waiter walked over with the white gloves we were in shock! We had no idea we were in for such a treat.

  2. Wonderful post! Loved the photos too. I loved Bratislava and nothing beats a meal with white glove service. I love the little napkin. I have only just posted a pic on Facebook of icy cold napkins like that we were provided in Bali to cool and refresh ourselves.
