As much as I travel, I adore coming home to Charlotte. It’s such a wonderful city to live in and I truly couldn’t be happier to call The Queen City my adopted hometown. One of the things I love about it is that I am constantly stumbling upon things that are really cool. One of those is this Farmer’s Market.
So what’s cool about a Farmer’s Market? EVERYTHING! Don’t you just love the fact that you can get organic fruits and veggies all in the same place and support local farmers at the same time? And while you are there you can find some lovely flowers and plants at super reasonable prices.
I try and eat healthy and Farmer’s Markets make it easy for me to do that. I didn’t know this one on Kings Drive even existed so imagine my delight as I was driving home and looked over and saw all of these lovely flowers and all of the fruit and veggies! I sort of kind of did an illegal turn to get into the parking lot (which I wouldn’t recommend) but hey, a girl has gotta do what she’s gotta do.
Make sure to have cash or a local check, they don’t take plastic.
I went back today and bought some more apples because the ones I bought a couple of days ago are already gone. They were super sweet and delicious. Do you ever eat apples with cheese and a glass of white wine? Just heaven.
They also have grass fed beef which I didn’t buy but that’s only because I try not to eat much beef. You can get eggs, honey, and so many variety of fruits and veggies. They also have a pumpkin patch but don’t wait too long to go because this Farmer’s Market will close down in two weeks and not come back until April. If you’re in the Charlotte area, you don’t want to miss this!
