Restaurant Week Wednesday – Upstream Restaurant, Charlotte

It’s Restaurant Week!  For one week you can eat in selected restaurants for $30 which includes appetizer, dinner, and dessert. It’s a great concept because you can try upscale restaurants for a very reasonable price.  A friend and I tried Upstream and I am so glad we did.

If you like to eat out but don’t like to spend lots of money on your meal, this is the perfect time to try a restaurant that maybe is normally be out of your price range.  Why not take advantage of this opportunity?

The first picture is of crab cakes (my appetizer) and I took a picture of the miso soup my friend had but it didn’t photograph well so I can’t show it to you. But it was tasty!

Sea Bass. It was heaven in my mouth.

Tenderloin. My friend ordered it well (yuck, I like it rare)  but it was still tender and juicy.

Flourless chocolate torte and ice cream. Very good, extremely rich.

Apple crumble. The apples were tart and firm, it was a delicious combination.

It’s not too late, Restaurant Week in on until the 26th so if you can, check out Upstream or any of the restaurants on the list, I’m sure you will find something you will be happy with.

  1. Those crab cakes look so delicious! I think that I’ve enjoyed Restaurant Week once. I would love to advantage of it and do it a date night, but sadly my husband is working all of Restaurant Week this year. We’re definitely going to make plans to enjoy it next year though.

  2. I love restaurant week as they have it in NYC too What a great way to be able to enjoy some restaurants that maybe you could not at full price This dinner looks so good Great choices Here from SITS tribe!!

    1. I didn’t know they had it in NYC, I had never heard of it before I moved to Charlotte. That’s probably where the idea came from!

  3. Hi Roni! Found you through the SITS Pinterest this morning. I love to travel and a good restaurant week too. I missed restaurant week a few weeks ago in DC. I have two “littles”, and they don’t necessarily make it easy for me to go out to eat as much. I “LOVE” what you are doing here. I can tell that you are doing it with passion.

  4. Your pics look great although I don’t eat seafood, and love that steak, (burn mines)! Good eatin’ foor an even better price.

Stopping by from SITS comment love.

  5. They all look delicious! We have the same thing here in Baltimore. You can try different dishes at certain restaurants. I haven’t gone during that special week, yet. These make me want to run out and make sure I try some of the dishes the next time it comes around here in Baltimore.
