I'm Back!

So last week was an emotional week for me. Getting a call that my dad was in the hospital shook me to my core. This was the first time in my life I was confronted with my dad’s mortality and it didn’t feel good.  I can’t tell you how grateful I am that he’s ok! I was in Los Angeles for a week just hanging out with my dad and doing all that I could to make his life easier. Now he is back to his old self and I am back in Charlotte and ready to start blogging again!

For the week I was in Los Angeles I didn’t even use my computer once,  all of my energy went to my family. Did you know I love to cook? I do. It brings me joy so I cooked everyday for my family and we sat around the dinner table and had great conversations and lots of laughter. That part was pretty cool. Anyway, just wanted you to know that I’m ready to share more travel experiences with you, I have so much to tell you!

Here is a picture of what I saw as I was taking off from LAX this afternoon. No filter on this pic, you are seeing what I saw.  I didn’t even take my camera with me to L.A. I only used my cell phone (I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II, I love the pics it takes!).

I hope you come back tomorrow, I’ll have a new post, I promise!

  1. I’m glad your dad is better. Funny, your dad’s name is the same as mine (ours)–Rhonda and I. Hence you can see where Rhonda’s name originated, as well as yours. Rhonda also had to take some time away from blogging after her brief illness this past Spring and Summer. But in the end, once she became 100% better, it made us more passionate about blogging on a regular schedule.

    1. I hope your illness is gone far away! I enjoy blogging so much, I wish I had done it years ago! Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Welcome back! Glad your dad is doing better. Realizing that there could be a day when your parent(s) is not there is never a good moment. I’m looking forward to your upcoming posts. Always a pleasure to read.
