No Mas! Hacienda And Cantina In Atlanta

July 29, 2014 by Roni Filed Under: Travel

I received a media rate for this meal through a travel campaign with New Creative Media.   All opinions expressed are 100% my own (cause you know I can’t write anything I don’t believe in).  Any additional expenses incurred were my own.

I’m a Southern California girl and Mexican food is something I take pride in. Nope, I’m not Mexican and have no Mexican blood but something about being from Los Angeles gives me expertise by association when it comes to Mexican food.

Since moving to Charlotte I have given up on trying to find a good Mexican spot because even though there are several reasons to love Charlotte, Mexican food isn’t one of them. So when I was invited to try No Mas Cantina Hacienda & Cantina in neighboring Atlanta, Georgia I was a bit skeptical.  I mean…I had tried so many and been disappointed so what would make this any different?

I’ll tell you what. The super fresh tortilla used in my burrito. The way the chicken and the sauces blended perfectly together in each bite (I don’t have a picture of my food cause I couldn’t get a shot of my burrito that made it look as good as it was).  The large portion that made me engage in gluttony because I was completely full after the first half of my burrito but it was too good to stop eating.  The fact that the server was totally knowledgeable on the menu and was able to answer any questions was a bonus (don’t you hate it when servers don’t know anything about the menu?).

There is a huge patio for outside dining which is a nice option to be able to enjoy a lovely Atlanta evening.

If you are in the Atlanta area and want a Mexican treat, don’t hesitate to stop by! However, this is a very popular restaurant and it gets very crowded so keep that in mind as this probably isn’t the place you can immediately get a table as soon as you walk in.

Do you like Mexican food? Is there a good Mexican restaurant where you live?
