I have written before about car seats and how you should have covers on them when you travel. I snapped this picture quickly as I was walking by one of the arrival belts at the airport (you know that’s where I Work, right?). You see how the carseat is turned upside down? That means that is the way it was put on the belt to start with and the inside of that carseat is now filthy.
Conveyer belts are NEVER cleaned. Nothing but air, dirt, and germs touches them. From the start to finish this particular conveyer belt is about a two minute ride. Two minutes sliding on filth. Two minutes collecting bacteria and then you pick it up and put your baby right in it.
You don’t have to spend lots of money on a cover. You can cover it with a trash bag or a big plastic bag. I’ve seen trash bags used as luggage before so there is no reason you can’t cover your carseat with one. Whatever you do, just cover it!
aMEN, Roni! I can’t stand when people do that.
Ugh. I see it all the time, it makes me cringe every single time. Thanks for commenting!
So I read the title of this too quickly and thought this was a post about why you shouldn’t cover the car seat. So I’m like “ooh let me find out why?” Lol, but yes all car Seats should be covered. Save the babies
