5 Items To Pack In Your “In Case You Get Ill” Kit

5tipsill

Over my years of traveling I’ve learned a few things along the way and I really love being able to share my expertise with you. I have been sick in several countries and it’s never a good thing. However, one thing that has made getting sick less painful is I always have an “In case I get ill” kit with me.

Trust me, if you get sick the last thing you want to do is try and find the meds you need, especially if you’re in a country where you don’t speak the language. Here are 5 things I suggest you keep with you at all times (because you never know when any of these things can hit you). This isn’t an exhaustive list, just the 5 things I think are the most important.

1. Headache/pain

Headaches and random aches and pains are a sure way to make you want to go back to your room and forget about exploring. Don’t let those pains get the best of you! Be prepared with the meds you need. I use BC powder and it always takes my pain away.

2. Constipation

When you can’t go you need something to help you speed up the process. I have no idea how to say “constipated” in Thai (my next destination) so I’ll have meds with me.

3. Diarrhea medication

When you eat something that doesn’t agree with you, having diarrhea medicine at arms reach will be your best friend.

4. Nausea/ Vomiting meds

Oh man. Have you ever been nauseous or had a bad case of vomiting? It’s a horrid feeling. Make sure to find meds that you can take to treat these and pack them with you! (Here is one you can choose)

5.  Anti-itch cream

Sometimes your body tastes better to foreign critters than to those in your home city/country so keep some type of anti-itch cream handy. I like Neosporin.

And there you have it, 5 things you should pack in your kit! And guess who will be selling travel kits with everything you need in them? ME! Stay tuned…I’ll have those details for you soon!
