Pont des Arts in Paris, France
Have you heard of Pont des Arts in Paris? You may know it as the lock bridge. It’s one of the bridges that have padlocks on them that have been placed there by couples. Each lock has been written on by the couple after which they throw the key into the Seine (which is under the bridge) and this symbolizes that their love will last forever. Paris is often thought of as a truly romantic city and maybe things like this is part of the reason why.
There is another bridge in Paris called Pont de l’Archevêché located not far from Notre Dame which also has locks but for this post I’m only showing you Pont des Arts.
Getting to the bridge is very easy, there are a couple of metro options. Metro Pont Neuf and Louvre are the closest, as Pont des Arts is behind the Louvre so if you are anywhere near the Louvre, you can easily walk to Pont des Arts.
