Things To Do In Los Angeles – Ports O'Call

Ports O’Call is one of those places that most locals never go to and I don’t really know why. I hadn’t been here in YEARS and it is only about 15 minutes from home. I stopped by one afternoon and there was barely anyone there which I think is a good thing.

Think about it, if you want to shop or eat, isn’t it better to do it when there aren’t many people around?  I’m sure Ports O’Call is busy on the weekends (most tourist attractions usually are) but I would recommend coming during the week so you can have the run of the place. During certain periods of the year they have whale watching and you can rent a boat and have a tour of the harbor.

There are lots of shops and a variety of restaurants to choose from, and there is even an area for kids where you can have a view of the harbor as they play.  Parking is free and ample, and it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Why not check it out?
