Grauman’s Chinese Theater (which is now called TCL Chinese Theater but I can’t see calling it that) is one of the attractions on Hollywood Blvd that is always filled with tourists. My cousin and I took her kids to Hollywood Boulevard because they hadn’t been there before. Isn’t that typical? When you live in a city you vey rarely do any of the touristy stuff.
I also realized that I haven’t really shown you any of my family so here is a small glimpse of our afternoon. If you go to Hollywood Blvd, just know there are always crowds of people no matter what time you go and outside of Grauman’s there are tons of celebrity impersonators. There are also people in costumes (did you know I’m afraid of those people? Yep. Totally.)
Most people stop walking down Hollywood Blvd just a few steps past Hollywood and Highland but there are many restaurants and cool shops (and pretty buildings) if you walk down a bit further.
That’s Nia above putting her feet in Matt Damon’s feet imprint.
I have no idea who these people are, just showing you what some people do .
That’s Maya and Nia. They are always ready for the camera!
If you start at the bottom of the staircase there are quotes from stars of hollywood (all anonymous) about their experiences with the casting couch. As you walk towards the back of the complex you will see the casting couch.
All pics below are of Hollywood Boulevard past the normal touristy area.
Hollywood Blvd. is one of the places that can be reached easily by bus or metro, depending on where you are staying. Los Angeles is definitely one of those places where a car is needed but if your hotel or apartment rental is near a metro stop you can navigate your way without a car.
