The Wyndham Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center in Peachtree City, Georgia is a true gem. It’s 30 minutes from Atlanta (without traffic) and a great choice if you want to combine comfort, beauty, and nature. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds…boy oh boy…I can’t even explain to you how well I slept.
Some hotels don’t have great beds but I really didn’t want to get up in the morning, I could have stayed in bed all day. My little cousin was with me (I don’t know why I keep saying little, she’s 22 now) and she said, “I’m so comfortable.” as she was lying on the bed.
At the end of the corridor there is a seating area which I saw many of those that had a hard time walking take advantage of. It was so clever of Wyndham to have seating at the end of the hall! Hallways are long and can be difficult for some but it’s these thoughtful touches that stand out.
The lobby is beautifully decorated with seating for dozens of people. The colors are relaxing and warm and lingering is encouraged.
I had breakfast in The Terrace Restaurant and guess what? I had a freshly made omelette! The service was lovely and the wait staff was so kind. On Sunday there were a few more people so keep that in mind as you may have to wait a bit longer to get your waffles or omelettes.
There is so much more to this hotel than the rooms. The grounds are absolutely lovely! Unfortunately I didn’t get to swim but I enjoyed the scenery. They have an indoor and outdoor pool so even if it’s raining you can enjoy the water.
I really had no idea as to how big this hotel was. There is another side of the hotel devoted conferences and meetings. They have plenty of rooms and a huge amphitheater. There is also a business center and plenty of nooks and alcoves for entertaining. While I was there three families were having reunions and there was plenty of space for everyone.
I can’t even tell you how much we enjoyed driving around in the golf carts! My family met me and we all enjoyed exploring the grounds together. There are pathways for golf carts which are used by residents and hotel guests. Residents of Peachtree City have gold carts and it’s a common occurrence to see gold carts around the local shops.
One thing that made my stay at this hotel wonderful was the absolute charming southern hospitality of the staff. Even when things hit a snag or two, the staff handled things with grace and patience and always with a smile. I really think that the true test of staff isn’t how good they are when things are working well but how they adapt to challenges. The staff here is impeccable and I truly enjoyed my weekend, it was over too soon!
Hi Roni,
You give good detailed info about CDG airport and I appreciate it. I am taking my daughter to Paris whee she will be doing a semester on an exchange from Montreal. We will have 3 large suitcases and on carry on between us. With that in mind, which mode of transport from CDG to gard nord would be preferable? Thanks
Thanks for sharing these tips! This hotel looks like it was awesome for your conference! It is also cool to know that the staff was so hospitable. Something as simple as friendly staff can make a hotel visit so much more enjoyable.
