My friend took this picture of me while we were in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was blistering hot, I was miserable, and I had sweat dripping from every part of my body. Yeah, I looked beautiful. All of a sudden I noticed the sprinklers were spraying at full blast and my inner child took over. I hadn’t run through the sprinklers since I was a kid but I have to tell you, it felt great to do it. I wasn’t hurting anyone, as far as I knew there wasn’t a law against it, and it was fun.
Sometimes when you travel you get the opportunity to do things that you don’t normally do, maybe even things from your childhood. Isn’t that one of the joys of traveling? I love doing things out of the norm, things that may seem crazy in my real life but are totally acceptable in another country. My friend thought I was a bit of a screwball but I didn’t care. Running through the sprinklers cooled me off and I laughed the whole time I was running. It was marvelous. I hope the next time you get hot and there are sprinklers around, you will run through them.
