I flew to Rome for a girlfriend getaway (I wasn’t able to upgrade to first class though) and I really wanted to see the Trevi Fountain without all the people standing in front of it (it gets so crowded in with all the tourists looking at it). We rented an apartment right down the street from the fountain so I got up early one morning before all the pedestrian traffic started and walked down in order to just sit and look at it. But before I got there, I stopped and had a cup of coffee and watched Italian life go by. It was around 8:00am and there weren’t that many people on the street. The following pics were snapped by me (discretely, of course) of the people I saw walking by. Don’t you just love to people watch?
That is a big block of cheese.
I wonder why she is holding one and letting the other one walk?
I don’t see many nuns walking around on a day to day basis.
What do you think this woman is thinking? Her expression is so sad to me.
And after I had my coffee and saw all the lovely Italian people, I walked down to The Trevi. Isn’t it beautiful?
