Have you heard of Watts Towers in Los Angeles? It’s an amazingly beautiful ceramic masterpiece in the middle of what is referred to as “The Hood”. Are you a solo traveler like me and want to visit? Is it safe?
Solo Travel To Watts Towers in Los Angeles
I hope you don’t let the location or the hype around this area stop you from visiting. Being able to see Watts Towers in person is such a treat, and you will have no problems visiting solo. The area is well maintained, quiet, and a lovely area to see.
You can only get inside the Watts Towers for a tour Thursday- Saturday (please see their website for hours) but you can still enjoy seeing them outside of tour hours. Scroll down to the bottom of this post to get a dope outlook with a video.
The area surrounding the Watts Towers is lovely. Small, nicely kept homes with lawns and plenty of trees surround the Watts Towers. Yes, it is in the hood but so what? What does that mean? Can’t there be beauty in the hood?
Please don’t believe the hype the news presents. While we were there (I went with my cousin), we saw people walking and going about their daily life. One woman even stopped and asked us if we wanted her to take our picture. There is no reason to be afraid of this area.
The Watts Towers area has many pathways and grass for you to enjoy.
Make sure to take a minute and rest on the colorful bench across the street. It’s across the street from the Towers and the perfect place to enjoy the beauty around you!
I hope you decide to visit this mosaic creation if you are in Los Angeles, I can’t imagine you would be disappointed!
Hi, I also write about traveling and I know you have much more followers than me, but can we do follow for follow, please? 🙂
Hi! I don’t do follow for follow but I will definitely check it out!
