So I love music. I’m not sure if you know this about me but I love any type of music that has a cool beat and can make me rock my head (and my backside) to the beat. So you can imagine how happy I was when I was trying to find my gate and I heard this wonderful African music. I knew immediately it was live music because African drums are unmistakeably distinctive when you hear them.
I really wanted to get out there and dance with her but in this day and age with everyone video taping everything, I hardly wanted to be seen on Youtube dancing.
This is my second time hearing live music at a gate, have you ever seen anything really interesting at an airport?
I’ve never seen a live performance of any type in an airport! It must’ve been so awesome to be able to see that when just walking through to find your gate. I think the coolest “street” performance that I’ve even seen was in the Washington D.C. subway. When my family and I were riding up to escalator we heard opera music that sounded so professional. We couldn’t tell if it was a live person or if it was just on the radio or something, but when we got to the top we realized that it was a homeless man singing. He was absolutely amazing, and I think a lot of people – myself included – were surprised to find the source to the music. Crazy!
