If you are going to be in Paris and want to experience the city like a local, buy yourself one of these. It’s only 0.50 Euro and can be found at any newsstand in the city. It’s in French but that’s ok, you can still use it (sorry my copy is wrinkled, I was using it and forgot I had to photograph it).
For instance, if you are looking for a place to eat you turn to the restaurant section and find the name and address of a restaurant. That’s all you need, right? They have the address, phone number and website (if applicable) of each entry and when I lived in Paris I bought this every week. I was able to experience so many wonderful things (I found an incredible restaurant this week which I’ll tell you about later).
This even has information on kids activities all over the city. Basically it tells you all of the cool stuff that’s going on in the city from art exhibits to movies to clubs, things your guide book probably won’t be able to tell you about. It comes out every Wednesday so the next time you’re in Paris, be sure to pick one up!
