See the picture above? When I walked past this place in Bratislava, Slovakia I was so excited. I have wanted to try a fish pedicure for a little while now but haven’t had the opportunity or taken the time to do it. And this was only 10 euro! I have seen fish pedicures that go as high as $100 Stateside so I was jazzed that this was so cheap! I went inside to check the place out and it was clean and lovely so I knew I would be getting one. So how was it?
I don’t know because when I went back the next day they were closed so I missed my opportunity. For the life of me I can’t remember the reason I didn’t get the pedicure when I walked inside and talked to the receptionist but at the time it made sense. All I know now is that every time I look at this picture I’m irritated because I didn’t get my fish pedicure.
My mom said the place was closed because, “It was God’s way of protecting you from yourself because why in the world would you put your foot in a bunch of water with dirty little fish biting you?” The store was closed in the middle of the day for no apparent reason…hhhmmm…
Anyway, the moral of this story is that when you are on vacation, don’t put things off if you aren’t sure they will be available the next time you want to do them. Do things as they come up because you have no idea what the next day will bring. No need to miss an opportunity if you don’t have to.
