A friend of mine and I went to see a performance of Sleeping Beauty at Blumenthal Performing Arts Theater in Charlotte. On the way out we saw this awesome jazz band and if you read this blog you know how much I love music in unexpected places. The band is called Brass Connection and they are so good! They had me dancing on the sidewalk. Ok, not all out dancing but I was doing my shoulder side-to-side groove. You know the one where your shoulders are moving, your head is also moving to the beat and you pop (or you might call it snapping) your fingers. Yep, that was me.
There was a big crowd gathered as the band started playing as the show was letting out. That is incredibly smart and I’m sure it pays off for them. Clearly I love to travel but when I’m home in Charlotte I can’t help but be happy because there is so much to see and do in this city, it’s a lovely place to live.
My sister lived in Charlotte and I went to visit her for the weekend. Downtown was really nice. I loved the feel of the city.
