Sometimes trying to figure out how to get into town from the airport can be challenging, but traveling from Dublin airport into Dublin is pretty easy and not that expensive.
I hopped on an aircoach http://www.aircoach.ie and purchased a round trip ticket for 15 euros (around 19 dollars). You are given a small ticket that could be easily misplaced so please keep it guarded until your return trip.
In order to get to aircoach from the arrival terminal, you follow the signs that say buses/coach park which will take you across the street and downstairs. You will walk in a covered walkway until you get to the escalator, and once you get off the escalator, turn around and you will see this ticket kiosk.
As you get off the escalator you will probably see one or two big blue buses but don’t be alarmed, the coaches run fairly regularly so don’t worry if the coach you want is pulling away. Before you can get on an Aircoach, you need to buy a ticket from the ticket counter. You tell them where you want to go and they will tell you which one to get on and then once you get on the coach, you tell the driver where you’re going and he will tell you when you have arrived at your stop.
The coach was extremely comfortable and guess what? It had Wifi! The connection was pretty good, I was able to stay connected the whole way into the city. I got on the coach around 10am and there was only one other person riding at the same time as me so I had plenty of room. The coach dropped me around the corner from where I was staying so it was very convenient. And on the way back to the airport, I caught the coach back and was just as comfortable going back as I was coming into the city. I would suggest you check the timetable before you go and wait at the bus stop. I wanted to get the 7:53am coach, I got to the bus stop at 7:40am and the coach arrived at 8:05am. Not bad, right?
See that face in the back? That was an ad on the back of the bus, doesn’t it looks like he’s staring right at me?
