Have you heard of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame? Did you know there is one star on Hollywood Blvd. that you can’t walk on? Yep. Muhammad Ali has the only star on the Walk Of Fame that cannot be walked on.
Why? Because he is Muslim and in the Muslim faith the name Muhammad is sacred and cannot be walked on. So, the only way Muhammad Ali agreed to have a star was if it was on a wall behind glass so it couldn’t be touched or walked on.
If you would like to see his star, you need to go to the Dolby Theatre (formerly Kodak Theater) in the Hollywood and Highland Center (pictured below). When you enter look to your right and you will see his star on the wall.
Here’s another tidbit you may not have known. When you walk into the building you will see pillar lit up with years and movie titles on them. These pillars list all the best picture Academy Award winners since the start of the Oscars.
