I received a media rate for this tour through a travel campaign with New Creative Media. I wasn’t told what to write, this is all me!
If you are anywhere near Atlanta and want to spend a few hours immersed in culture and beauty, head to The High Museum of Art. Right in the heart of Downtown Atlanta The High Museum of Art has enough to keep anyone entertained. And not only do they have several floors of art for you to enjoy but you also have a couple of different restaurant options (from brunch to fine dining).
There were three generations of my family visiting the museum together and everyone enjoyed their visit. When you walk into the courtyard there are beautiful red hammocks that you can actually sit and relax in as my little cousins did (aren’t they ca-yoot?).
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed so be prepared for long lines if you go on the weekend.
Right now there is a fabulous exhibit called, “Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas” that incudes a collection of many cars that I have never seen or heard of. Until September 07, 2014 you can check out cars from different eras and read the stories behind them.
The exhibit can be done by yourself or you can buy an audio guide which you have to pay for. Your ticket to The High Museum grants you access to all exhibits inside the museum.
The museum is bright and HUGE! Every wall has something interesting to catch your attention.
