Have you ever gone to Church in Dublin, Ireland? You may think I’m talking about an actual church where people go to worship and pray but I’m talking about a restaurant/Bar/hangout spot called The Church in Dublin. Church in Dublin was once St. Mary’s church and is now one of Dublin’s top tourist destinations with more than 600,000 visitors a year.
Church has a full menu and anything you could think of to drink from the bar. I had soup as it was really cold and since I had walked in the rain I was cold and the soup hit the spot. I wanted to take a picture of it and show you but I had vegetable soup which was green and green soup doesn’t photograph that well.
On Friday and Saturday nights Church turns into a club which goes until 3am.
This organ was once played by Handel and was built by Renatus Harris. There is free WiFi in Church but it works better if you sit on the bottom floor. I sat upstairs and couldn’t get a signal on my phone but once I walked downstairs, I was good to go.
Do you know what this is? The initials say YHWH and that’s the initials for God’s name which is translated Yahweh, or Jehovah. This symbol is called the tetragrammaton.
One thing you may not know about me is that I like bathrooms. Does that sound weird? I mean, when I was a kid my parents said that they thought I loved looking at bathrooms because no matter where we went, I always wanted to go to the bathroom. You think that would have triggered them to take me to the doctor to find out why I had to urinate so often but hey, I don’t have any kids so what do I know?
