Have you ever rented an apartment while traveling and seen one of these? Did you know what it was for? I remember the first time I saw one of these, I was truly perplexed. It was when I moved into my apartment in Spain back in 1996 and my roommate showed me how to use it. Up until then I had no idea that one of these things existed and why would I?
In California I had always had a dryer. In fact, in most rental apartments in America you have a washer and dryer in your place or you have a laundry room with washers and dryers. I have no idea what this thing is called, but it is where you hang your clothes when you take them from the washer. It folds up and fits into the closet when you aren’t using it so you may have seen it and not have knows what to do with it.
As I was getting this post together I realized I didn’t take a pic of it folded up so you could see what it looks like. Sorry. But at least if you see this in an apartment you are renting you will know what to do with it, right?
