While walking down the street I almost walked past this 250 foot graffiti wall in Vancouver located between Homer and Richards. One of the things I love about traveling is that when I walk around in whatever city I’m visiting, I tend to stumble upon cool sights in the neighborhood. I almost didn’t stop because I thought it was just some random graffiti but then when I walked down the alley a bit I realized this was truly artistic talent at work.
As you can see the alley is very long and my plan was to walk down and take pictures but there were a few men in the alley and I just didn’t feel safe. I may have over reacted but I figured it was better to get the few pics I could and walk away then get some great shots and be scared.
I thought the guy on the bike was a bike messenger because he had his bag and his helmet, he looked a bit official. But then I saw him pull out that huge wine bottle and start swiggin’ away so I figured my theory of his bike messaging duties was way off base. I also thought the two guys behind him were tourists because they were snapping pictures as well but I could have been wrong about them as well so I stayed on my side of the alley and left them to theirs (but not before I got this shot…hee hee)
Have you ever seen graffiti like this? Do you think this is art or is this not pretty to you?
