Food In Russia

When I travel I like to buy fresh fruit as it is a staple in my diet at home and I like to keep that up when I’m on the road. It wasn’t difficult to do that while I was in Russia. The food in Russia didn’t agree with my stomach but the fruit was just fine and there seemed to be fruit stands all over the place while we were in St. Petersburg.  And another great thing about the fruit, it was really inexpensive! We were able to have fresh fruit everyday which was perfect for the both of us.

Do you see the Russian woman selling me the fruit? She’s exactly what I pictured an older Russian woman would look like, head scarf and all.  I saw many older women dressed like that but the younger women were more modern, stilettos and all!
