Cheap Breakfast In Charlotte

cheap breakfast in Charlotte

Can’t go wrong with a ton of grits and eggs.

If you are looking for cheap breakfast in Charlotte but still want delicious food, then look no further than Sunrise Restaurant on Albermarle Road. This is one of my favorite places to get a great breakfast for under $10 (including coffee and juice).

The service is friendly and efficient, I never have to wait too long for a table and you can get breakfast all day long! It’s one of my favorite local spots, let me know what you think if you decide to go!

Bronzed Aussie – Downtown Los Angeles

Don’t you love it when you find a great restaurant? That’s how I feel about Bronzed Aussie in Downtown Los Angeles. Did you know they made savory pies down under? They do but you don’t have to travel to Australia to get one, just come to this restaurant and have your taste buds be very happy with you.

If you blink you’ll miss it and you definitely don’t want to do that. It’s located on Los Angeles street between 7th and 8th on the southeast side of the street. It’s in an alley (don’t worry, it’s totally safe) and once you go in you will be so happy you did as the food is lush. It’s a small place but big enough for you and 13 others to eat inside and they also have free WiFi.

There are several tables outside and a bunch of bamboo out back that you can sit underneath. The owner is Australian as well as all of the staff which makes the whole experience seem truly authentic. They are all super friendly and you can tell it’s genuine, I would go back there just to have something to drink and talk to the staff, they are that lovely. There is a bathroom but you have to go across the alley to get to it, just ask one of the staff members for the key.

I bought 5 pies for $32.70 and I’m so glad I did! So far I’ve tasted:

  1. ground beef

  2. pepper steak

  3. Thai chicken curry

  4. spinach & feta rolls

  5. chicken, bacon & mushroom

and each one was delicious. Seriously.

I bought them for my dad and I and when it was time to eat my father said, “That is too much bread.” I told him it was flaky, light and delish and to just try it. He did and then he said, “Ok, you’re right. It’s very flaky and it’s really good.” My dad is 77 and knows good food.

Breakfast With A View Los Angeles

Breakfast With A View Downtown Los Angeles

Do you want breakfast with a view in Downtown Los Angeles?  Look no further than the Courthouse. Yep, the Stanley Mosk Civil Courthouse in DTLA. There is a cafeteria on the 9th floor where you can get decent food and an excellent view. The patio is huge but only has a few tables against the building. However the view is stunning. These pics were taken on a gray morning and I still think the view was spectacular.

I ordered an egg, avocado and tomato sandwich on wheat bread. It was ok, I had to doctor it up a bit cause it didn’t have much flavor but I didn’t mind.

The pics below are of the cafeteria. You are not served by waitresses, you have to pick what you want then pay for it at the counter.

There is hot food along with prepared food you can pick out.

And again, the views are lovely and worth the visit! Even if you just get a coffee it’s worth it to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Lunch In Downtown Los Angeles – Bugis Street Brasserie

If you’re in Downtown Los Angeles.  Today I stumbled upon a cool little spot called Bugis Street Brasserie (which sounds a bit French, no?). It’s a Chinese restaurant located next to The Biltmore Hotel and directly across from Pershing Square.

The service was fast and efficient and our meals were perfection. I ordered the dish above (I’m sorry I totally forgot to write down what I ordered. I was so hungry I just started eating. Forgive me).  The bowl was HUGE and spicy, I had enough to take home. My mother loved hers as well and we both left the restaurant happy.  So if you find yourself in Downtown Los Angeles and want to get a bite to eat, don’t hesitate to head here. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Good Food In Santorini

If you want some good food in Santorini, please make your way to Pito Gyro. I came across this place by walking around and I saw there were tons of locals standing in line waiting for their order. I was in Santorini for 5 days, found this place on day 2 and ate there everyday after. It was to the point that when the owner would see me coming he would say, “chicken gyro with fries, yes?”

I tried beef and chicken gyro but I preferred chicken and it was especially tasty with Greek beer (which you can also buy there). The whole meal was barely 5 euro and for that price I couldn’t help but eat it everyday. The restaurant even has WiFi and a small area where you can sit and eat. There are no tables inside but there are stools inside and out.

It’s a family owned business and everything is cooked fresh so if there is a line don’t get irritated, it’s because your meal is being prepared to order.

European Food In Charlotte – Bosna Grocery Store

September 18, 2014 by Roni Filed Under: Charlotte, food, North Carolina, Restaurants, Travel

european grocery store charlotte

Did you know there was a European grocery store in Charlotte? I didn’t. I happened to be driving down Central Avenue (one of my favorite streets in Charlotte) and I saw the sign. I was pleasantly surprised to see such an array of European treats on the shelves and in the refrigerated section. Everything comes from Eastern Europe, (I happened to be there while the store was getting a delivery from Atlanta).

I was able to have a lovely lunch prepared by Dino, the owner. He was so hospitable and kind I had to stay and enjoy the food!

This is a traditional Bosnian sausage sandwich (it was lush). I tried a Fanta I had never had before, it was called Shokata and if you’re in the area, you should try one. It was really good.

The meal was $8.10 which I think is really reasonable for such a hearty plate.  There is a full menu of food to choose from and you can dine outside on the patio.
