If you want to experience exquisite French dining while in Paris, be sure to visit Au Petit Riche. There are barely the correct words to describe how fabulous this meal was. From the wine to the dessert, everything was sheer perfection.
That’s foie gras in the picture above. To the right is a pear that they have somehow managed to make it the perfect companion to the foie gras.
I actually did a shoulder shimmy when I took my first bite of my dinner. See the picture below? That is fish. Does it look like fish? Nope, not at all. But honey…let me tell you. This was the best fish I have put in my mouth. I have no idea how they got it to taste the way it does but if heaven was on a plate, it would be this.
See the sauce? I had to tear up pieces of my bread and drop it in the sauce so that I could eat all of it with my spoon, there was no way I was leaving any of it in the dish.
Are you a fan of creme brûlée? Lawd let me tell you abut this dish right here. Oh my goodness it was lush. Just perfection! If you visit Paris please try this dessert at this restaurant. Your eyes will more than likely roll into the back of your head. And if you visit Paris please get my Paris travel guide!
The restaurant gets very crowded so if possible make a reservation. I ate at around 8pm and there weren’t many people there but by the time I left the restaurant was very full. There were plenty of French people inside as this really isn’t a touristy spot which is another reason you should make it a place to dine. Know how I found it? It was featured in l’officiel, the magazine I told you about. The waiters were very nice to me and very attentive, there was nothing about this experience that I didn’t love. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Ahh the Crème Brulee looks DELISH!!!!
It was LUSH!
