Dining Outside In Bratislava? You're Covered!

Dining outside in Bratislava doesn’t have to be a frigid experience. I was there in October of 2013 and it was cold, not freezing but cold enough to where I needed a jacket at all times. Restaurants in Bratislava have made it comfortable for people to sit outside when it’s cold.

Even though it was chilly outside, I saw many people still sitting on patios enjoying their meals. One reason there were able to do this was because it seems to be a custom to have blankets for patrons.

As you will see from the following pictures, many restaurants had blankets so that each person would be able to wrap themselves up and shield themselves from the cold.  Isn’t that a great idea? I saw the same thing when I was in Moscow a couple of years ago.
