While I was in Rome I split up from my friends for a while and I stopped to have coffee. Coffee in Rome is delicious but I made a rookie mistake by not asking how much this cup of coffee would cost me. I think my feet were hurting at this point so I didn’t really care, I just wanted to sit somewhere and let my feet relax. It was a decent cup of coffee and it came with the cookies but it was 5 Euros (about 8 dollars at the time).
If you are traveling and want something to drink, it’s best to find a small cafe on a side street and not a big cafe with a bunch of tourists sitting in it. Siting in a big cafe can provide you with a great view for people watching but just remember that you will probably pay a bit more for that spot. This cafe I was sitting in wasn’t far from The Vatican so I was expecting it to be expensive.
Have you been to Rome? Did you have coffee?
