One of the good things about staying with friends when I travel is they tell me about the local spots that I may not have stumbled upon. One of those places is the Lovely Food Company in Dublin, Ireland. It’s not in the heart of the city but it’s a short bus ride from the center of town and you wouldn’t be upset if you made your way here for breakfast.
I only ate breakfast here but my friend made us all a delicious meal the night before that she learned at the cooking class held on Monday nights at The Lovely Food Company. And since her meal was so amazing, I figured why not try breakfast. I had French toast (I have no idea why it’s called French toast as it didn’t originate from France. Go figure).
When I was there I briefly met the owner, Paul. He was so friendly and welcoming! His restaurant has the same feel, a place you can sit and relax while enjoying your meal. It was clear there were many locals that frequent this restaurant because Paul knew many of the patrons by name.
If you ever find yourself in Dublin and are looking for a place to eat, don’t hesitate to try this place. It was so good!
