There are hundreds of hotels in Paris but since I am not a fan of staying in hotels, I opt for renting an apartment. I found this particular apartment on VRBO.com and I am so happy with it. It’s located in the Marais which is an absolutely lovely area filled with quaint cafes, shops, bakeries, and grocery stores. The apartment is located on the 4th floor and thankfully there is an elevator but that isn’t always the case in Paris. Since most apartment buildings are very old, elevators aren’t standard so don’t be surprised if you rent an apartment and you have to walk up and down stairs. This apartment has one bedroom and one bathroom which is perfect for one or two people. I think three people would be a bit of a stretch but it could be done.
The living room/kitchen/dining room are all connected but there is enough space for two people to walk around and be comfortable.
Do you like the red? I think it’s lush.
This couch pulls out to a very comfortable bed.
This is the desk in the bedroom. The white unit under the desk is the air conditioner.
This is the view from the apartment. Aren’t the trees lovely?
Isn’t the shower beautiful? I love the stone.
This is the courtyard that leads to the apartment. Just beautiful.
VRBO isn’t the only website where you can find apartment rentals but I have had such great success with VRBO that I tend to only use them when possible. Renting and staying in an apartment while I am traveling gives me such a different feel than when I stay in a hotel. I feel as though I am really experiencing the city, and not just visiting.
Amazing place! I love the kitchen! Looks expensive and elegant. Is it cheaper?

It was about 100 euro a night and fit 3 people. It was very spacious to be so small and I find apartment rentals are much better than hotels. Thanks for stopping by!
