Y’all know how much I love coffee so I jumped at the chance to write about something I love and get paid for it. So while this post is sponsored you also know I don’t write about things I don’t love so no bias here!
Before I leave for a trip I have a lot to do. Even though I travel all the time there are still lots of errands to get done and coffee is always a part of my travel prep day. Before my trip to Mexico I stopped by Caribou Coffee and picked up a Crafted Press coffee. Caribou Coffee takes 12 hours to cold steep their iced caffeinated creation which is just what I needed to start my day of running my travel errands!
My adventures don’t start when I get on the plane, they start days before with all of the things I need to do and I normally have a cup (or 2 or 3) with me while I’m on the go. My Crafted Press was the perfect combination of caffeinated sweet goodness to help fuel me and keep me refreshed while running my errands.
Here are 5 errands to run before your vacation.
1. Shopping
-
Well a girl needs new shoes to travel in, right? I normally try and buy a couple pair of sandals when I’m going to a sunny destination (cause who can ever have enough shoes?). However, unless you are confident in the brand you are buying and have worn them before it’s best to buy shoes well in advance so you can wear them and make sure they don’t hurt your feet. I have a couple of brands I have worn for years that work great for me so I don’t worry about buying them on short notice. It was nice to shop and drink my Crafted Press coffee. Yummy.
2. Get foreign money
-
When I travel out of the country I make it a point to get a bit of local money before I get on the plane. ATM’s are usually not hard to find but I do not like starting a vacation without any cash. Some banks have currency exchange and many cities have currency exchange offices but don’t wait until the last minute, ok? Some offices may have to order the currency you want depending on where you are traveling.
3. get gel mani/pedi
-
One thing I hate to have to deal with while traveling is a broken or chipped nail. It’s just a nuisance so by getting a gel manicure and/or pedicure the chances of nails getting messed up while traveling is slim to none. It’s much better to spend the extra money on the gel process so you can have beautiful nails and toes on your trip.
4. Change cell phone plan
-
This is very important if you are going out of the country. Your phone may automatically work when you touch down on foreign soil but if you don’t have an international plan in place you will be charged up the ying yang. Trust me, you do not want a huge phone bill staring at you when you get back home so call your carrier or visit their store and find out what options you have and get an international plan for the duration of your trip.
5. print out essential documents
-
I no longer have a printer so I had to find a place to get my documents printed. I recommend printing out the documents you need and not relying on your cell phone. Why? Because I have seen people at front desks of hotels and in security lines at airports when their technology failed them. Nothing will stress you out quicker than not having proof of your travel plans. Print out everything and err on the side of caution.
Running errands before a trip is a part of travel prep and having my Crafted Press with me all day was a treat! I like how this one already comes with both milk and sweetness so I didn’t have to spend any time trying to doctor it up, it was already doctored! And the fact that it was iced was perfect since I was running around doing my errands in the Charlotte heat. I was still able to get the caffeine boost I needed without having hot coffee.
